Workshop Description: Provides extensive instruction of vocabulary and concepts used the content areas of English. Focuses on comprehension and production of content-related information in American Sign Language with emphasis on sign production clarity and conceptual accuracy.


Presenter Bio:

Faithlyn Robinson has been a teacher at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind. She received her master’s degree in Special Education at Radford University in 2012. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree at Gallaudet University in 1992. Also, she received her Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design at Art Institute of Atlanta in 1998.  Faithlyn teaches photography, graphic arts, and language arts. She was born and raised in Jamaica until 1981 which she moved to America. She enrolled in Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind. She credited VSDB of making who she is today. She graduated from VSDB in 1988. She loves reading classics and enjoys taking photos during her free time.

This workshop is presented at no cost to K-12 interpreters.  To register, please contact your grant representative. VRID is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies program is offered for 0.6 CEUs at the Little/None Content Knowledge Level.
