Membership Tiers (Term: July 1 - June 30)
Voting: Individuals who wish to join or renew with VRID at this membership tier must also be a voting member of RID in good standing (currently only certified and associate member levels qualify). This category may vote in any and all matters open to VRID membership vote. The membership cost for one year (1 July - 30 June) is $35/year.
Non-Voting: Individuals who wish to join or renew with VRID at this membership tier are NOT required to be voting members of RID. This is a non-voting membership category. The membership cost for one year (1 July - 30 June) is $20/year.
Supporting: Individuals who support the goals and objectives of VRID and the interpreting profession, but who are not engaged in the provision of interpreting and transliterating services, may join or renew at this membership tier. This is a non-voting membership category. The membership cost for one year (1 July - 30 June) is $20/year.
Organizational: Entities (organizations, businesses, agencies) that support the goals and objectives of VRID and the interpreting profession may join at this membership tier. This is a non-voting membership category. The membership cost for one year (1 July - 30 June) is $100/year.
Student: Individuals who are currently enrolled at least part-time in a post-secondary educational, training or certificate program, in any field of study, may join at this membership tier. Prospective student members must provide proof of continued program enrollment to the Membership Director every year upon renewal in order to maintain membership in this category. This proof can be a current copy of a class schedule or a letter from a coordinator/instructor on school letterhead. This is a non-voting membership category. The membership cost for one year (1 July - 30 June) is $20/year.
To join VRID, you can pay online with a credit card or you can mail a check or money order made payable to "VRID." For either payment method, please begin the application process by selecting your membership level below and follow the prompts.
If you already have a VRID Member Account (whether active or inactive), please log in first to renew your membership. Proceeding without logging in will establish a duplicate account. If you are unsure if you have an account, reach out to the Membership Director for assistance.
