              Date:  May 9, 2020

               Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

0.6 RID CEUs Sponsored by VRID

Location:  This is an online workshop using Zoom.

Workshop Description Many interpreters look at teaming from an individual standpoint. The tendency is to go into a teamed assignment with our own experiences and expect that is the norm. This workshop takes a look at best practices in a teaming environment and how each interpreters’ needs can be met. Participants will be able to address concerns they have experienced and come up with solutions on how to address future concerns. The workshop starts off with activities that allow for group discussion.  Participants will later get hands on experience through activities which involve teaming English to ASL as well as ASL to English.

Sabrina Smith, PhD, has been involved in the interpreting field for over 20 years. She is Nationally certified through RID: CI and CT, as well as NIC Master and Ed:K-12.
