Workshop/Course Description:

This workshop will focus on the Virginia Quality Assurance Screening. The participants will use their previous

diagnostics as well as the overall all rating system to plan an approach to taking the test. Part 4 of the workshop

will have a specific focus on the Interactive ASL portion of the test. Participants are asked to have a way to

video themselves in order to look at their product and analyze ways to improve.

Educational Objectives:

 Identify areas of improvement on the VQAS diagnostics specifically on the Interactive ASL

 Demonstrate knowledge of the differences between ASL and transliteration.

 Apply techniques learned during the workshop to the final product that will be videoed.

Participants will need a device to record their product. The device must have audio as well as video.

Evaluation & Assessment:

Evaluations will be done by looking giving instant feedback on the participants product as they work. Also, by allowing the participants to ask questions for any clarification needed.
